The members of Lakeside Presbyterian Church support many missions, both locally and nationally. A complete list with contact information and links is below. Here are a few that we are focusing on now!
Lakeside Presbyterian Women Winter Mission
The LPW mission for the winter and spring is Project Joy. This program sends children from food insecure households home with backpacks filled with food for the weekend. Only monetary donations are needed. Please write Project Joy in the memo line of your check.
Project Bundle of Joy
The Deacons are sponsoring a new mission project. Bundle of Joy seeks to help Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) babies and their mothers by providing baby items and small gifts and cards for the mothers in order to make life after the hospital a little bit easier. There is a bin for donations in Fellowship Hall. Needed items for babies include onesies, pacifiers, bottles, stuffed animals, diapers, wipes, and other baby necessities. Appreciated items for mothers include boxes of granola bars, lip balm, gum, socks or slippers, knitted blankets, gift cards for groceries, coffee, or gas, etc.
Help feed the homeless
Members and friends of Lakeside Presbyterian Church volunteer at the Union Gospel Mission on the first Tuesday of each month, serving dinner from 4:45 until 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome! Call the church office (525-1967) for details.
