New home build starting soon
The benefits that safe and affordable shelter can have on families and communities who partner with Habitat for Humanity can be long-lasting and life-changing.
Three times since September 2016, the WLSHFH has broken ground for home builds in Superior. On August 16 there was a groundbreaking for a house located at 2412 W. 1st Street in Duluth’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.
In addition, there will be a launch of the reconfigured Age in Place Repairs Program that works with older adult homeowners. AIP will conduct a set of projects in the neighborhood. Families who partner with Habitat for Humanity help build their own homes alongside volunteers, pay an affordable mortgage, and are grateful for your help. LPC will be helping with the project on Saturdays in October and November. Possible jobs will be building a garden shed, working on siding, or hanging sheetrock. Stay tuned for opportunities to share your time and talents!
